Tips for G1 Battery Life

This is a quick tip on the battery life

1) Run the phone till it turns itself off from low battery.
2) Restart the phone till it won't turn on anymore.
3) Charge the phone for 6 hours with it off.

It is supposed to reset the calibration for the battery.

Results have been good in the T-Mobile Forums

I got this information from other website.

MoonWell11
is that true that if you use the phone out of the box without charging at least some hours you're battery can get screwed for memory stuff? I've read somewhere that is not true, but I am still with that concern.
please let me know or if you can ask a tech expert where your work.

You really shoud let it charge fully before you start playing with it, but it's probably a little late now hunh? But with any phone you should do this as it's better to be safe than sorry.

Yea, same here. Although recalibrating it does work, because my phone would say its batteries are up after like 3 hrs of use, but I can't make it the whole day without having to charge (and I do use my G1 to listen to music for my commutes) Its really sad, because I had to revolve my whole day today around getting home as soon as possible just so I can charge my phone to go back out again.

For users who are having trouble after recalibrating the battery, try to repeat the propcess a few times (3 or 4 max) and see if that doesn't help.

Jeno,
It will have a lot of powa that battery ?    because the one that came with the  g1 it is  1150 mah, so it's not enough at least we should have something like   2300 mah to be very powerful !
