i know another 300 mah 1150 vs 1350 is doesn't seem like much but its a good amount 15% more battery life is a good jump. the good thing is that this battery is the same dimension as the stock battery which has more power than stock so it will fit without changing the back and making the phone bigger.

I just saw on seidioonline.com an Extended Battery for the G1

$42

This Innocell extended battery provides up to 15% more capacity in the same size package. It is a great replacement with more power than the original.

- 1400mAh - Up to 15% more capacity than the original
- Fits in existing space so no replacement door is needed

Something weird just happened. I performed the following steps one right after the other:

1) Checked battery level and it was at 17%
2) Turned g1 off and back on
3) Checked battery level again and it is now at 28%

I was under the impression that cycling the power on any device uses a bit of battery power. What caused the g1 to gain battery power by cycling the power?

Please keep in mind that cupcake is an update to the Android OS. Yes, the g1 runs Android, but that doesn't mean that we will definitely get cupcake. The folks who have used Linux for any length of time know what I mean with regard to upstream changes.

Ardchoille,
I agree with that, for me is a Bug not a hardware problem, how can they fix it?  fixing the OS (android) and I think that it can be fixed via the Update "cup cake", but maybe did not fix that problem,  also  Google talk is having a lot of issues when you receive messages from people, when you are chatting for a while with someone and the messages that you receive,  you can not see them in that window, just in the task bar, but in the the task bar you can not see them completely, so that really is a mess.
