dzikos,
My friend, I believe that the over heating is caused when you use the phone at the same time that you are charging it, if you leave it alone, you will not have any problems.

also if you are getting overheat when you hold the phone, reposition your hand off the battery, also be sure to not overwork the phone with too many apps.

Okay, so I am not exactly the most technologically advanced person and this phone is making me nuts!  The battery life is horrible and I can't even make it an entire work day on one battery!  In 9 hours, I've received maybe 10 text messages and done nothing else on it, but the battery is dead.   HELP!

I read where others are saying to turn different applications off while charging, but I have no idea how to do that.  The manual doesn't tell you anything about that aspect of it.  I know that "E" thing, which I think is edge, is always running.  Is that something that I can turn off?  How about GPS tracking?  I am really trying to like this phone and have learned a tremendous amout about it by just playing with it, but I can't figure out how to turn different applications off once they are turned on.  I don't see any options for that in the settings.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I had to uninstall an app I love. Locale was destroying my battery life. I uninstalled it and my battery lasts twice as long, though it still does not last an entire day. All that Tetroid playing is sucking up my battery life now. Tongue

Well guys I just got the g1 and i'm trying this "draining" technique. I drained it out once.. so I guess I have two more times to go. After draining the battery out the first time, is it supposed to charge all the way to 100% or does it get to 100% after the third time? Because my phone has been charging for awhile now and I believe it's at 99% and not completely at 100% yet. Thanks guys.
