If you have an old holster that came with the Blackberry 7XXX phones, it seems to work very well with the G1.  After carrying the holster on my side for years, I found it was one of the best methods ever for keeping your phone with you.  (I would be remiss without mentioning how well that old Blackberry worked for over 2 years...tough and reliable...RIP...hall of fame material for sure)

This is the one that had the magnetic insert that signaled the Blackberry to use the holster ring profile.  The only flaw with the holster design was that if you ran or jumped the phone could come out.  It did with me a few times.  Other than that, it is a cheap solution for those of you with a new G1.

There might be some good 3rd party cases out there, but I just got my G1 yesterday and have not looked around yet.
