I have a G1 stuck on T Mobile G1 page. I fear there has been a software hack done on this phone. I have tried pressing end + home, but phone won't budge from the G1 page. Is this phone now a brick or is there any help for it? Thanks in advance.

Hi All--

I have a T-Mobile G1 with a non functioning screen from an airplane crash. I'd like to extract whatever I can--to do this it appears I need to manually put it in USB mode, which isn't an option for me given the broken screen. Is there a way to start up in USB mode? I think the device is otherwise functioning as it charges and the keypad lights up after a brief boot period.

I've been able to recover info from the micro SD card, I assume other things are on internal storage such as text messages, contacts, etc?

Thanks much,
--Paul

I would say don't charge if 30 and above to be safe.

Try removing the battery and put it back in... that worked for me!
