how do i stop the update notification pop up box from coming up?

I've got RC29 and don't want to lose functionality or the ability to mod if and when i decide to. what is the best firmware and how do i install it?

anyhelp would be awesome. thanks

actually theres only one firmware which is 1.0 there are updates like rc29. but if want to modd the g1 check out xda-developers but be warned if not done right you could end up with a very expensive brick

Just wait for the updates to push to your phone automatically. I do not suggest forcing an update...only bad things could happen
