The one and only reason why g1 is better then iphone.  NO itunes.  I had to recover my computer once and could never update my iphone because it would wipe out all my songs/pics/video on the iphone.  I also couldn't get my mp3's back into my computer.

Well I prefer the g1 over iphone mainly because of the keyboard....I only had this phone for 3 weeks now and I love it.....I'm used to the keyboard because I've been down with the sidekick phones since sk2 so it was kinda a easy transition.....personally I think the g1 is 10 times better then the Iphone....my best friend has the iphone and he hates it because it doesn't have a keyboard...I showed him my phone and dude got jealous....lol

When browsing, I love that the g1 fits the text to the page when you zoom in and out.  No need to pan left and right to read as the text  wraps around to the next line automaticcly....does the iphone do that?

I like it because;

1. it's on an open platform
2. Its not created by ms control freak wannbe's

Interesting discussion...
- A friend of mine has a jb iPhone. I was pretty jealous, when he ran Skype on his iPhone and called me (skype on my laptop). I mean, its not really googles fault that its not working, but its annoying. And not 'open' at all!
- The iphone has a working icq client (working with data, not SMS). Meebo was looking promising, but its not working correctly. Stupid numbers instead of the nick names and so on. And no progresses for weeks...
- There are lots of annoying things with the g1: vibration is too week, G3 is disconnecting sometimes for no reason, many tools are crap, many basic functionalities are not working correctly, bad shutter time on cam...

I forgot: The stupid alarm didnt go on one time. I woke up 3 hours too late and the phone didnt make any noise. But the display showed 'snooze and dismiss'...

But:
- I love the qwerty keyboard. I had problems hitting the right keys on the iPhone. No problems on the g1 at all
- The G1 is a pretty new phone. It is not that 'hyped' as the iphone, so the community of the g1 is not that big.

Anyhow, i hope 2009 will be better.

Well, I know that for sure they did it on purpose not have VOIP, I already wrote some other threads about this and I know that there is something that t-mobile is afraid,  have voip instead to spend in minutes and long distance.

Easy answer.......... iPHONE for Mac Lovers...... G1 for the rest of the world. I personaly cant stand iphone or Apple (personally i think Apple are a bunch of communists) Google I have always had respect for.
