I've been a cubs fan since I was 8 years old. Ryan Sandberg was my childhood idol.

  As an adult I consider myself a sports fanatic.  I won't allow my mother or my wife to watch cubs (MLB), carolina panthers (NFL), or michigan wolverine (NCAAF) with me because I think they are bad luck.

  For once in my lifetime I wish the cubs would stop taking me on an emotional rollercoaster through the regular, and postseasons.  Why can't they just have a dominating year where I can sit back and gloat at how great my favorite team is.  Instead I have to sit thru harassment with my friends.

  Ill never stop being a sports fan, but man do I get angry when my teams don't perform well. Is that normal?  Does anyone else switch to a dickhead after your fav teams lose?  I can't help it.  Worst of all I know I'm doing it and try to stop, I just can't.

  Oh well, thank god I'm not a soccer fan.....those guys are nuts to begin with.  I could just imagine my personality in the soccer community.

i feel where your comin from im a ORIOLES fan and they always come out the gate knockin' 'em out the park and winning games....  They get the fans pumped up makin' you think they are goin to show off and kick sum ass then they start givin' up game after game after game ........... its definitely enough to piss you off !! Now i can always depend on my RAVENS to put on a great performance and do work ... every other NFL team hates when they have to see us !

I'm a huge panthers fan but I'm actualy excited to see what the ravens look like on d.  Don't take this the wrong way but I hope that dominating defense isn't what it used to be.  Wouldn't it be wild if they switched to a high powered offensive team like the rams in their "greatest show on turf" stage.

 Hard to imagine the ravens being anything but the defensive powerhouse that they have been for so many years now.  Heh maybe it will make soome room for the potent panthers d to riegn supreme ; p
