I havent tried hacking any of my phones, mainly because if I do something to screw them up, I will be screwed until I get a replacement.

I can actually understand. I think that if I had not had a phone with auto rotate previous to this one, it would not have been as important to me. But having had auto rotate, I was addicted and did not care how I hurt my phone to get it. Now that I have all of the root capability, mainly multitouch, autorotate, and wifi tethering (my sole home internet now), I could not go back.

That does sound very tempting. I'm hoping that google will come up wit more updates that address these issues. I already have some programs that have auto rotate, so I know it's possible. I might be waiting a while though.
