got my g1 on monday of this week.
Everything works as advertised; I'm very impressed with this phone, esp given that it's a first version.
So far, so good.
(Btw, I got my contacts thru Gmail within 5 minutes up importing into Gmail. VERY cool!)

Oh, I am getting jacked around.  They said Wed. when I ordered that it would ship out that day.  Now, I still don't have a tracking # and 611 is saying "order is still processing".  I just hope I don't get an email saying it's backordered.  Did you order the bronze or black?

Guess what? we are exactly in the same boat, bahhhh,   still they have not processed my transaction , shipment pending, hm.... hope they don't put me back order in this order, if that happens I will hang them out, that's crazy,   the pre order that I placed on Oct 5th was back ordered, so they cancelled that for that reason, this supposed to be in inventory and nothing.
so, I don't understand this service, they are not getting well organized.

Today customer rep @ t-mobile confirmed me that I will not  get it until  nov 10th, so what's this crap about?  first they tell  lies to sell the phone and then the a bad truth.

hello G1 people  - today i am a bit disappointed - a friend of mine went to a T-mobile store here in los angeles (she already have a t-mobile account) and just like that - she picked up a G1 and bought it... the heck! i did not know we can do that! i preordered before the 22nd and yet i still dont even have a ups tracking number! - anybody here from t-mobile care to explain this whole messed up thing? can i cancel my order and go to a t-mobile store instead?
