New smartphone user

My wife got me a G1 phone for my birthday acouple of weeks ago. I LOVE it. Hope I didn't jump on the bandwagon to early, I here that they are still trying to work some bugs out of it. I kinda wonder acouple of things but I will post my question, in the forum that I have questions for. I live in the Dallas, Texas area. I've been trying to see which application are a MUST HAVE. I would like to hear some for you all.
