Hey G1-Forum Fam.
I'm a newbie to the site but not the G1. Got the G1 during the presale in 08. However, I am new to the root family. Just rooted today. I am excited to learn more about what all I can do with my newly rooted G1.

Hey, I was with tmobile for a short while, loved the G1, hated them and their lying customer service agents. Now I'm with a regional Cellco (Iwireless) to save $. They have a pay by month program I opted for since I may be moving out of the area and did not want their sucky contract plans. My problem is that I inserted their sim card and the data is not working and neither company is giving me the info I need to make it work!! GRR! :  I will post this in another thread, Im glad I found this forum.

I am new to the site but i have had the g1 since it came out, i've had tmobile for three years and have gone through all there smart phones they offered, so far this is my favorite.

The G1 will still work off wifi without the data plan but when you take it out of the box you need to have the data plan to activate the phone once its activated you can take the data plan off and it will work from there out

Actually I have a rooted g1 running a cyanogen rom and its set to not have to set up over the cell signal. I dont use my g1 as a phone anymore since I got the Touch pro 2 so I use it instead as a gba emulator and a remote/mouse keyboard for my home theatre pc. The g1 has much better battery life when the sim is out.

What's up guys! I am new at this smart phone business. Hope you guys can help me catch up. I just bought the T Mobile G1. Is very nice. Im still trying to figure it out. I would like to get it hooked up with my lap top. Also I don't seem to be able to get my emails.

Hi all! Just found this forum after being a member over at the N97 forums - having now moved from an N97 onto the HTC G1 and loving Android more than Symbian! I have had the phone for about 5 days now and have rooted it and installed Cyanogen's v1.6 Donut ROM and am very much in love! Hope to become a regular visitor here

whats up everyone...well i have a g1 that i got not too long ago and tried to hack it but messed up my whole phone, so now when i turn it on all i get is a flashing white screen.  i need help fixing it im not that smart with this kind of stuff im a car person lol...so someone please help me out!!!
