Hey guys!

I'm a G1 owner since launch. I was anticipating for this phone since I saw the rumors around the internet. I watched the official press release in NYC and pre-ordered one on the spot.

I got mines a day before the launch and fell in love. It's sexier in person and has given me a lot to do with the ability to surf the web and IM on the go. I'm getting up to 700KBps download on 3G in Philadelphia and the 3G/EDGE/GPRS switching (When traveling around the city and outer suburbs) is seamless.

I love this phone and can't wait for the OS and Market to expand and continue to keep me entertained and confident in staying with T-Mobile for 5+ years.

shizbgby,

Welcome aboard, I love this phone, but still with the software out there is Inferior compared to the Iphone, I believe that the hardware is better, but many applications out there g1 is missing it right now and also g1 needs to fix many many bugs that phone has, so hopefully by the end of the year we have a more solid phone and with many more bugs fixed.

I need a good PDF reader specially for atachments that I receive by email, flash player to browse ok the websites, Ms Doc Reader / editor, and applications to be installed in the SD card.

Hope that we can share and help.

Thank you for the welcome and sharing your opinion with me. I do agree with everything you said, especially the lack of key applications. Don't get me wrong the web browsing experience is by far the best out of all the phones I have owned over the years, but the lack of flash is a letdown.  Also the inability to store programs on the SD card. I reached my allotment of space and had to delete several programs to make room today.

There are other downsides but I will post them in the correct thread. I hope I can contribute to the community and get my voice heard so we can better the G1 for us and futuer adopters.

shizbgby,
anytime and thanks for sharing your thoughts too Smiley  I'm glad that you came here, also I hate the choppiness of the phone,  the scroll is not as smooth as an Iphone, but ooh well, I can't ask too much , right ? Smiley    the zoom in/zoom out is not as good as Iphone too, Iphone can do right now everything, it is just a matter to give time to developers and see what we can get with this Android OS and this G1 Smiley     I appreciate your words and hope to see you here often Smiley
