just got a gphone. had sprint before. ready to change to gphone BUT i cant believe there isnt speed dial!! i used to flip open my phone, press ONE key, hold it down and talk to the important people in my life. how do you all deal with not having speed dial with the gphone? what's the FASTEST WAY to dial the important peeps in your life?

am so frustrated by lack of speed dial it's makin me consider switchin back to sprint.  aargh!  Angry

OK i downloaded the manual, thank you for that. was just about to dig into it when i decided to ALSO call tech support at tmobile and the lady that helped me told me that speed dial was NOT supported on the gphone. disappointing news. i expected her to say yeah, it's on page so-and-so. hmmm....jeno do you recall actually seeing speed dial somewhere in the manual? maybe she was wrong. i hope so!

I'm looking throught the PDF document and I'm unable to find it as well. I could've sworn that I saw it when first reading the manual. I'll check around some more, but keep us posted.

Download the app "Anycut". It will let you put contacts and other stuff on your G1 "desktop."

sorry i thought i saw that too i dont believe its supported yet. also download anycut just like jlaholton said it will suffice the speed dial problem better than holding down a number

hey thanks for the AnyCut advice. downloaded that APP and it's amazing! takes care of my speeddial prob pretty much. i mean, with the old phone, i had like, 25 people on speed dial, and cant see puttin 25 or more people's icons on the desktop, but at least 5 or so shouldnt be a problem. thanks for your help, phone gurus!  Grin
