Swich Default To 3rd Party Application

dumb question i use to know how to but forgot

How do i make something my default application for example

There is a default browser and there is steel

when i click a link how do i change it to whether i want steel to be the main browser or the default one. its some setting i just forgot.

you cant change the default browser my friend google has that locked down

That's not what i mean but i figured it out i meant the "Use By Default for this Action"
