Ok so here's my situation...I have the pattern to unlock the phone...

My screen locks...I try to unlock the phone (i am %1000) sure i used the same pattern...the phone doesn't unlock...(LAST TIME I USE THIS FUNCTION AGAIN!!)

After numerous times, i finally decided to just UNLOCK IT USING MY GMAIL ACCOUNT...

I put in my email...(which i KNOW IS CORRECT)..

aND I PUT IN MY PASSWORD, which i know is correct, and this thing still is not unlocking...

It just keeps saying that i had to many pattern attempts...its allowing me to enter my gmail info...

But it is saying it is invalid, and i know for a fact its not because when i signed in to gmail on cpu to change my password...

The password i attempted on the G1 was teh one i used  to get in my account...then i change my password..

And it still is not letting me in...somebody please help me this is RIDICULOUS!!!...

Hmm that sounds serious, I'm really sorry this is happening to you. You might need to reset the phone altogether... that's the hole by the USB charge port. I would tryy calling CC for G1 tech support 1st though. They might propose a simpler solution as a full reset should delete everything on your phone.. keep us posted.

Bad to read that, I'm sorry, Tom was having an issue with the Sim Lock, it seems stupid that G1 is doing bad things with this kind of issues, who knows, but on regards your problem,

- Do a Hard Reset and let know if that fixes the problem, hopefully yes

but you will lose everything,  data, etc, etc, etc,  everything will be to factory defaults, so  let me know if that helps.  I post the way how to do a hard reset in sticky.

UPDATE.......

Problem solved by switching SIM cards and creating new google account....

G! Customer support team in new mexico, you guys are awesome.....

Wow I'm glad that's solved for you and that you're happy now. Situatins like this one can be sooo frustrating not to mention inconvenient. But nevertheless, problem solved!
