No but if you are, have you tried powering down the phone to see if this resolves the issue?

Yeah I have tried turning off the phone & restarting but have not noticed any changes. I don't think it happens a lot but I don't know for sure since I don't even get the missed call or text. The only thing I can think of is it might be happening when I'm browsing the web, youtube, or app store, & the majority of the time I am on 3g or gprs

you need to have at least 3 bars of network to make a call try going outside see how many bars you get out there

Ive been having this same problem. I got it fixed today and there was 2 problems that may have been causing it.
Problem 1: I did not receive a sim card with my new G1 so I was using the old one from my blackberry. Customer Support said that this can cause issues with new phones.
Problem 2: When i went to a tmo store, the rep found out that my G1 IMEI in the system was different than my actual IMEI by 1 number. He fixed that and gave me a free sim card and i was on my way.
Now after all that happened, I did have another issue. I was not able to connect to the internet at all and was receiving a message saying "Data Connectivity Error, The page Contains too many Server Redirects." And to solve this i got on the phone with customer support again and they sent out some update/reset signal and had me take out the battery and turn it back on. After that, everything worked fine.
Hope this helps, it was quite frustrating for me as well not receiving texts or calls and getting voicemails out of nowhere without the phone ringing.
FYI I was also on RC30 before any of this happened too

Yes definatley take your phone to the Tmo doctors. This sounds like a bad bug.
