Icon appearing for no reason, can't seem to remove it.

I have an icon on one of my email account and can't seem to remove it. See the icon circled in red in screenshot below:



I have checked all over this account and there are no email messages anywhere in the account. I double-checked by logging into the normal Yahoo UI from my desktop computer. I have also rebooted the g1 and pressed the "Refresh" menu item.

How do I get rid of this one icon?

i dont think you can probably a bug . have you tried to remove the yahoo account then reset it up? also you said thats a screen shot that means you have root please update your profile.

I originally had this same problem with the Hotmail and Yahoo accounts. I removed both account and set them up again. The Hotmail icon disappeared but the Yahoo icon did not.

Hmm.. bug, eh? I hope they fix this in the next update.

Also, I didn't see anything in my profile that said anything about root. I'm using RC33. Screenshots can also be done via the desktop computer with the Android SDK.

Oh, I did do the screenshot via the phone itself, and I do have root. But I wanted to point out that screenshots can be done via the Android SDK on the desktop computer and root still shows RC33 as the build number.

What do I need to update in my profile to show that I am root on my g1?

just go to your information under G1 Build Number, change your G1 info to reflect rooted data system
