Buying apps from market

Hi
I just tried to buy the ahome app from the market but it says. My card is invalid when I know for a fact it is a valid card. I am in the Uk and the ahome app is
$4.99, so I am thinking us in the Uk can not buy these apps?

Hope someone can help me out

i believe in the uk you have to use a major credit card to make the purchases. make sure your not using a debit or check card
