i know that people can make android apps and other people can download them for free..but for something like the aim app, visa app,sms app or any app that makes you put in a password, can those people track what you typed in or track or store your password in a data base? just curious

I think what he's asking is "how do we know the downloaded apps aren't secretly gathering and sending our info to a 3rd party for malicious purposes (i.e. identity theft)?".

Id like to know this myself, it's the one reason I haven't yet used the Bank of America banking app.

well for one the banking apps are made by for instance bank of america app is made by bank of america the visa app is made by visa so those two are fine. if those were made by an individual that would constitute fraud. know what i mean.

I didn't know these apps were made by the original entities.. this boosts my confidence. Thank you for the info Cheesy

I have the Bank of America app as well as went into BofA and the branch manager contacted the fraud dept. just to make sure. Yep the BofA app was made by BofA and I fully trust it. I use it a lot.
