I stumbled upon this little info about apps on the G1. It appears that developers only get 70% of the price of the app (just like iphone developers). Some of you may of read it or heard it already, I havent seen it here in the forums so i decided to pass it all on to you

did you read it right the developer of the app gets 70% and google gets 30% for getting it out to the masses i say in business thats a pretty good split

Btw, have you heard about the SD Card ? do you think that in January they will leave to install apps now in the SD ?  that's just a protection to start making more money I believe that for sure ! Smiley

Btw, have you heard about the SD Card ? do you think that in January they will leave to install apps now in the SD ?  that's just a protection to start making more money I believe that for sure ! Smiley
well the main problem that i have read about its up to tmobile to allow it but there afraid if they allow access to the root people are going to brick there phones but it is possible if you already have root access on your phone but some people that dont know there way around linux are already making there g1's into nice paper weights

Yes, I knew that, but that really make our phone very inferior comparing to the iphone LOL Smiley hopefully next year google will open this feature !

I still cant get over the fact they are making people pay to put their apps on the market, well its not that bad because alot of people will be buying the app
