T-Mobile G1 Google Android, No VOIP

I am dissapointed about this, but ohh well  this one can't be perfect,   all what I wanted is to have skype in this great phone.

Yes it is a little sad, but nevertheless I won't die without it. I'm just so happy about this phone period so the VOIP I can really live without. As well as video capture. I can really live without that too. I seriously just don't take videos.

For now... Once a few hackers get there hands on the roms you'll see a lot of options like this turned on.. And black market roms flouting around.. If there is a will, there is a way.. But I never use Skyp.. But I could see it being a very useful option.

Mind-Eracer,
I believe that T-Mobile did not wish to allow that, because they will be afraid that people use skype instead of Tmobile for long distances in other countries

I agree... But I wouldn't be surprised if someone finds a work around/hack to get VOIP to work.

If you ready very well, it is supposed that the OS was made to not have any leak about VOIP, who knows as you wrote, maybe someone still can work around this, who knows.
