Unless i have an option to turn OFF apps im not using at the time...

Then the OS aint good enough for me...

Sorry but im spoikled by my tmo dash's task manager...

The very fact that knowing programs still run in the background when im not using them annoys me...

Well, here is my input after only 2 days with my G1.  Once my number was ported, I spent some time dl a few apps and getting to know the phone.  I have, as of right now over 30 hours on the initial charge.  Much of that is stand-by obviously.  I don't spend allot of time goofing around on it, but I have made at least 20 calls and used 3 apps for maybe 5 in each to learn them and did some web surfing on both Edge and wifi.  (no 3g in my area yet).  Last night, I checked the battery before bedtime and it was at 26%.  This morning is was at 25%.  This is just my experience.

Was the charger fully "connected" to the phone? It sounds like either the phone was fully connected to the charger OR the charger wasnt plugged into an electrical outlet.
