Ring tone volume seems a lot lower
No IM program for Yahoo AIM or MSN (stuck with meebo ..ughhh)

Other than the ringtones I am SOOOOOOOOOO happy I upgraded.

Yeah the on screen keyboard is amazing.  I've played around with an iphone and the on screen keyboard was horrible and is one of the reasons I bought my G1.

Ok I want to avoid a boot loop so I will run this by you guys.

I have the radio update downloaded to my pc.  Rename it update, copy it to the sd card, unplug phone, start in bootloader, alt S and i'm done?  Ran into a boot loop the other day trying to install fonts.  Its super easy to fix but I'd like to avoid it if i can.

You will want to press alt S while in recovery mode, not the bootloader.

I agree about the IM programs because I use yahoo alot to talk to my friend who is going back to Iraq for the 3rd time.

But I must say that this update has me acting like a kid in the candy store  I was showing off the new features last night to my friends who have the G1 but can't do the things I can.

I love the auto rotate and touch screen keypad.

What exactly does the orientation feature do? I can't seem to figure it out.

the orientation when checked is the autorotate for the entire phone.

you can change the way the phone reacts when it rotates.  Pulse, fade, bla bla bla when you set different animations.  That turns it off and on.  use spare parts to change the interface.

Thanks dragonstalker and everyone else that has responded so quickly in the last day or two. I must say that I had my doubts about this phone but with this update I have a big kool aid smile now 


Also is there a way to make my icons/fonts bigger - - it seems like when i rooted i lost size or maybe my eyes are playing tricks on me

go to ur spare parts app that came with the jf 1.5 update and you can make ur fonts bigger !

Yeah my speaker is very quiet after the update. Is there any quick fix? Is ther anyway 2 get 2 edit the hardware settings? I remember on my lg viewty there was a hack u typed in a code that took you to "secret" settings and u cud change the frequency volumes which in turn improved the sound volume and also broke a lot of loudspeakers

you cannot reverse engineer apk's so, no secret menu's or anything like that. but if are having sound loss then there's another problem altogether.

Yeah great update just sound volume hope jesus can find a quick fix or something its like 40% as loud as what it should be

Ya, speaker phone, ring tones and everything are about 40% of the normal volume. It really sucks for me cause i have 80% hearing loss on my left side.

Hopefully there will be a fix for this soon.

But honestly its a VERY SMALL price to pay for the overall performance and features of this update.

I'ts my only major complaint. other then that I ******* LOVE IT !!!!
