I unlocked my G1 to RC29 after following the root instructions thread in here but, out of curiousity anyway to bring it back with the most current RC version?  I did not backup my data on the device except for what was on the SD card.  I am also missing the myfav's icon, even when I try to search for it when pressing the menu button and clicking add it's not listed there.

Thanks.

Download the RC33 JFreak version are you rooted or not if you are not rooted then you must download the regular rc33 version and download it through the camera boot loader

Pretty sure it's considered too late for that, if you're hoping to get warranty back. But I suppose if you wanted to use the warranty and managed to remove root access, they wouldn't really be able to tell.

your warranty will be fine no need to un root unless its an ethical thing for your now since you have root you remember when you flashed rc29 image well thats the factory image and you can reflash that at anytime so no need to worry.i have had root for 3monthes mt touch screen went out had to do a replacement i just reflashed rc 29 sent it to tmobile and now have a new one no warranty voided

asked a friend of mine from tmo.  If they get it back they check it for water damage and physical defects.  If you send it back for a software problem, they flash it to factory then resell as a refurb. so don't worry bout warranty if you know how to flash it back to ealier version.  Just don't send it back with root customizations on it.  do a factory reset.

incorrect you cantjust do a factory reset if you have root you have to reflash it back to rc29 a factory reset will keep root rc29 is the factory image
