Google Navigation on the G1

I just did a hard reset on my G1. I am trying to reinstall Google Navigation but am not having much luck. I was looking at this site (http://googlemobile.blogspot.com/2009/11/happy-thanksgiving-travels-google-maps.html) and it seems that it should be included with Google Maps but I cannot figure out how to get to it. I used to have (before the hard reset) an icon that I used to get to it but that is no longer there. I go to Google Maps but see no why to get to Google Navigation from there. Any suggestions?
