T-Mobile unveils Cupcake update to G1

T-Mobile said that the so-called Cupcake update has now gone live, and that G1 owners will receive the code as an automatic download delivered to their phone sometime during May.

Here is a good reason to root right now if you have not. The moment someone gets this update, it will make it in to the hands of a dev (most likely jesusfreke), who will have his version out within 24 hours. Thus, while everyone else is waiting, those with root will already have manually flashed the update (If you can recall, this is exactly what happened with RC33).

Is this Cupcake? I seen this G1 on craigslist.. and he said it had a bunch of different fitures which is why his was "unique" lol.. anyway heres what he said..

New features which isn't on the standard G1:
- Virtural Keyboard w/ Predictive Text
- NEW UI
- New lockscreen with transparent background to see your default bg
- New auto-rotation animation
- New locale for different language preferences
- Contact icons in phonebook / dialer / favorite tabs
- USB connection stays in notification along with other features
- WIDGETS - Music player / Calendar
- New UI for music player
- Live folders
- ZOOM for camera / video camera
- Video Camera / faster clearer camera / shutter
- Ability to upload videos straight to YouTube straight from phone
- Ability to upload photos straight to Picasa
- Double tap to zoom for browser / photos (along with new zoom buttons)
- Bluetooth AD2P

ok I just got cupcake from Dauub. And

After I installed a Font it was just my boot logos and then a black screen.

And I tried a theme too and nothing.

Am I supposed to switch the

FRAMEWORK AND MERA0DIF AND SYSTEM

from the Cupcake folder and put them on the theme?

And how do I fix my Font? same way? I haven't even looked at the font folder I shall do that now.

I just went back to RC33 and without Cupcake sad.....
