I will be getting a mytouch on the 15th but I will still be an active member on this forum as it will not be my main carry phone. I figure I can share this so that any development that comes about, I can update you guys on it and give an informal review of the device. My friend, part of the android test market, has had one for a few weeks now and the thing is pretty nice despite its inability to access the root directory right now.

I guess I got caught the "feel for the deal" "test drive" business, because although I initially thought of switching as you know, I opted not to, because I love my G1 now! I would still like to stay informed about the happenings with newer Android phones to know what my future options are.

I am sticking with my g1 as well. I'm just gong to have the mytouch around to mess with. If the onboard keyboard is anything like the one on g1...forget about it, it'll be paper weight

True

Yes, my on board keypad seems to have to warm up; it works OK after I have been typing for a while. Unfortunately, it's usually when I am nearing the end of my message.  Sad

Correction, there is no specific date for the G2 or G1 v2(whatever they name it) so far any release date that is said to be set for it is a rumor, due to the fact that Tmobile nor HTC know's the date or name of it, and this is str8 from a Tmobile rep

Tmobile reps uses the same sources as we do, they know NOTHING. Some of us know more than they do so I wouldn't use them as a source. I know, some of my friends from way back in the day are now TMOB store general managers.
